We were told that at the end of our contract (Aug 2024) no more payments would be taken. It’s now October and they now say that since we did not contact them after the contract end period our account was automatically moved to a month-to-month payment for services. And to top all of this off, the notice of cancellation will take 30 days for them to process and cancel so they will receive another payment from us before they officially cancel our account.

We will NEVER recommend this service to anyone. For the past 5 years, we have had this company, all they have ever done is upsell us on newer equipment while telling us none of their technicians can work on our cameras or doorbells since they are out of date (they were maybe a year old). The service we pay for is for them to monitor our cameras but no one has contacted us in the last two months that one of our cameras is no longer working. If they’re monitoring that stuff, why didn’t they try to contact us to get that fix

This company is incredibly unprofessional. On various occasions, door-to-door salesmen are pushy, aggressive, and confrontational. Imagine someone bothering you for a product or service you didn't express an interest in - and then having the audacity to treat you rudely? Blatantly disrespectful. We wouldn't use them as our racist criminal neighbors use them, which we kindly explained to several of their reps. We do not do business with companies who support criminals or racists and Vivint is happy to do business with anyone. We have been kind and polite in expressing we have no interest but they continue to stop by and ignore our requests to add to their do-not-stop list. Avoid this company at all costs. Unless you want high-pressure and to work with unprofessional sales folks. Selling door to door in this day and age also shows the company is predatory nor do they understand how marketing works.

Absolutely miserable customer service. Off shore based and unable to handle any issue without multiple phone calls and being bounced around from department to department. Do not use this company.

I really didn't want to leave a review, but why did a door to door salesman representing Vivint come to my door at 8:30 at night, when I have a No Soliciting sign on the front door and try to sell me something? There is no good answer. Also, unfortunately door to door sales has been attributed to home burglaries, as this is allowing people with bad intentions access to your house and possibly knowledge of your work schedule and is not a good perception for any company to have. I think a billboard or a commercial or an event sponsorship would be a lot more effective way to grow your company's audience and build rapport with potential clients. Also, I asked the salesman if I could have a business card and he had said that he didn't have any - which is more suspicious and could mean this person is not affiliated with the company at all.. Sad to have to leave this review.

EDIT: Don't purchase this product. Once a week or more some piece of more of equipment doesn't work. It's always something and I've only had it a month. They are a rip off! Make sure you do your research, their reviews are bad for a reason. Don't let them distract you with the forged article, that was bought and paid for.

The salesmen here will sell hell to the devil. The lies that they will tell you inorder to get you to buy is insane. Now my garage door goes offline constantly thanks to them and was opening randomly on it's own causing a major safety risk, the salesmen lied about a 200 dollar rebate by sending my old cameras back, forgot I'm missing a part and he would keep saying he would get me the information for the rebate and send me the missing part, correct my name on the system and he never did. He was just a big liar willing to tell you anything to get a sale. I end up having to follow up with support finding out that none of that was true.

I recently had a very disappointing encounter with a sales representative from Vivint. When he rang my doorbell and I answered, the first thing he asked was whether this was my house. I live in a nice neighborhood, and as an Asian homeowner, I found this question super insulting and inappropriate. It felt like he was assuming I might be a babysitter or nanny instead of the homeowner.

To make matters worse, he then doubted whether I knew my own neighbors. This added another layer of insult and further demonstrated his lack of respect and professionalism. After these inappropriate questions, he had the audacity to ask if he could place an advertisement sign in my front yard.

I strongly urge Vivint to train their representatives better to avoid asking questions that can be seen as insulting and to adopt a more professional approach. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services.

They ignore the “No soliciting” sign. Badge Number 232885, Allen Yoeun, stood with his foot in the doorway, then made his way into our home when my wife went to retrieve a pen and paper, saying “you trust me right? I’m a security guy”. Unacceptable.

If I could give no stars I would, and I don't even use the "service." Several times EVERY YEAR, and despite a "no soliciting" sign above the dang doorbell, we're constantly confronted by a high-pressure door to door salesman for a garbage service. They finally figure out how to read once you point the sign out to them, but read the contracts for yourself. They'll lock you in to a sub-par service that's overpriced. How they are still around is beyond me. "We have cameras that whistle!" Yeah, that'll stop the crackhead from stealing my Amazon package. I will file a complaint for every door knock I get from here on out.
