The tech and servicemen are nice. After having the system for two years I abandoned it. Even when watching live on high speed internet the quality was bad. Cameras would go offline.

With their "free" equipment for a new contract and a new price of 24.99 the service still isn't good enough to keep.

NO devotion to LOYAL CUSTOMERS. (Customer Service)

If I had known the service I would have received 6 years later, it would have been a Hard NO for me.

I built a new house and decided to go with Vivint. The technician suggested 2 monitors, one at front door (inside - the most important camera, can view from the sitting area) which is just a glance monitor, first monitor (main hub) near the garage door, and the doorbell camera.

Fast forward. I started having problems with the front door monitor. Sometimes it would not connect with the hub. It started with a male's voice as the notification. Then it changed to like a French female's voice to one monitor having a French female's voice to the other one having an US female's voice. Then the front door monitor completely stopped working and I would have to reboot or call customer service. UGH!

CUSTOMER SERVICE is terrible. Unfortunately, you are not speaking with US residents. The communication is extremely challenging and frustrating. A lot of the employee are NOT knowledgeable and useless. All they do is repeat your concerns and say your name 100 times throughout the wasteful conversation. That is extremely annoying especially when they are NOT fixing the issue.

One of my last conversation with an employee, he suggested I physically removed the monitor from the wall. We tried numerous options, none worked. Then he suggested I delete the 2nd monitor from the Hub. I had reservations, but I was desperate at this point. I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but it did not work after about 10 attempts. Then he mentions that they no longer use the 2nd monitors. Then why would you have me delete it from the hub? And why would you not disclose this before deleting it from the hub? I was so angry. Again, they are not knowledgeable. Not fixed.

History:
I need the monitor at the front door, so I can see salesman, deliveries, etc. without having to go to the garage or waiting until the footage shows up on my phone. No, it does not show me the footage immediately. By the time I get to footage I could have answered the door or the person is gone.

The next day after talking to the male, I head to work. Now, I have to set the alarm near the garage and run to the front door and walk out. The monitor is not working so the panel is not working either. While I am driving Vivint calls me because I did not make it out the house fast enough. Now, I am even angrier.

While on the phone I just wanted to discontinue my service and they transfer me to the loyalty program which still did not resolve my issue. I keep repeating the issue over and over again just to have him offer me more sales. A HARD NO.

I called again to see if possibly it could be the battery. The employee suggested rebooting my system. I told her no because we have tried several times. Again, not knowledgeable, not listening and does not know what to do. I asked for a supervisor. She transferred me to the US. The employee said, "Let's check.". And noticed the female rebooted my system after I repeatedly said NO. He said there was nothing he could to replace the 2nd monitor, but put a keypad there which would expose all the wholes from the original panel. No, not on my front door at my new house. Or move the hub to the front door, but there is a charge, cords will be exposed and wholes would now be on the wall near the garage. UGH!

I want to discontinue my service, but a friend said I would not be able to view the camera on my phone anymore. Terrible.

Worse Experience Ever.

We called, got pre approved for a security system. Specifically talked to a salesman’s name Cody and we told him exactly what we wanted. ONLY cameras.
Cody tells us we are approved, we paid the deposit to only find out from the installer that what we asked for wasn’t possible. Instead he was trying to install a package with motion sensors, ring door bell. NO cameras. They wanted to add cameras but cost $400 EACH.
ON top of that we found out Cody was charging us for a premium package when we were getting the lowest package possible. He scammed us and even the installer said. He advised he would bring it to Cody’s manager attention.

I would never recommend vivint to anyone!
OH and they ran a SECOND pre qualification on my husband since I wasn’t approved and then denied him. MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE when Cody said he was already approved.

Scam!

Sales was good and installer was good. I choose to cancel as it was to much for budget and I don't need a monitored service. Cancelling has been difficult over a holiday weekend and I am still waiting on a call to scheduled the equipment pick up. trusting this will go well; however, I have my reservations. SO I would recommend NOT doing a trail first when sales offers this as they have little control once they leave the premises. Over all the system is user friendly and the sales/installers seem to be excellent. The customer service is hard to understand and I don't think they are located in Utah?

Customer service is one of the worst that I have ever had to deal with. this company does not know the meaning of the words "CUSTOMER SERVICE". All they care about is the almighty dollar. Once Our contract is up, we will be dropping them like a bad habit.

I am very happy all the way around from first meeting of Corbin the sales representative and Katlynn the installer.
Everyone was very professional and respectful. I am excited to use and have the Vivint system. The system seems to do everything and easy to operate to feel safe. The only thing I was unhappy about was my garage door opener didn’t or couldn’t match up with the equipment so I didn’t get the opener
